Fire in the Hole xBomb

Fire in the Hole xBomb is a Nolimit City slot from 2021 and one of the studio's most volatile designs. It starts on a six-by-three grid with 486 ways to win, but the grid does not stay that size. Every winning cascade pushes the blocker at the bottom down one step, unlocking an extra row and increasing the number of ways with it, so a productive sequence is literally digging the grid open beneath itself. The xBomb wild substitutes for pay symbols and does two things when it lands: it explodes, destroying every adjacent symbol except bonus scatters, and it adds one to a progressive win multiplier that runs through the cascade sequence. It does this whether or not it was part of a win. A second mechanic, Wild Mining, triggers when three, four or five matching symbols line up horizontally without forming a win — those symbols are replaced by one, two or three wilds, which then explode in turn. The bonus is the Lucky Wagon, a hold-and-win reached with three or more scatters accumulated in one cascade sequence, and how many rows you start it with depends on how many scatters got you there.
