GCash is the dominant mobile wallet in the Philippines, used for transfers, bills, retail payment and cash-in over the counter at partner outlets. It holds a stored balance in pesos, moves money to other wallets and to bank accounts, and is the payment method most Philippine consumers reach for first.
The Philippine legal position is genuinely different from the rest of the region, and it is the reason this entry reads differently from the Thai ones. The Philippines licenses and regulates domestic online gaming through its own regulator, so a licensed local operator is a lawful counterparty in a way that has no equivalent in Thailand or across most Indian states. That does not extend to every site accepting Philippine players: an offshore operator without a domestic licence sits outside that framework.
For the wallet itself the usual rules apply, and two of them decide outcomes. Wallet limits are tiered by verification level, so an unverified account will hit a ceiling on both balance and monthly transfer volume well before a verified one does. And the wallet must be held in the player's own name, because payouts are matched against the verified account holder and a mismatch is a routine reason for a withdrawal to be held.
The wallet also declines merchants it classifies as prohibited, so a deposit can fail at the wallet rather than at the cashier, with no message explaining which of the two refused it.
