Turbo Mode

Turbo mode, also labelled quick spin or fast play, is a setting that shortens or skips a game's animations so each round resolves in less time. It changes presentation only: the random number generator, the paytable and the theoretical return are the same whether the reels spin for three seconds or one. What does change is throughput. A slot that produces a few hundred spins an hour at normal speed produces considerably more in turbo, so the amount staked per hour rises in proportion and the expected cost of the session rises with it. Faster play also makes it harder to register how long you have been playing and how much has gone through the account. Several regulators restrict or ban speed-up features for that reason, and most games let you switch it off.
