Kahnawake Gaming Commission

The Kahnawake Gaming Commission is a First Nations gambling regulator based in the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawake, near Montreal in Quebec, Canada, that has licensed and hosted online gambling operators since 1999. Created in 1996 under the Kahnawake Gaming Law enacted by the Mohawk Council, it asserts regulatory authority on the basis of Mohawk sovereignty and issues permits for online casinos, poker rooms and sportsbooks operating from servers within the territory. Its headline product is the Client Provider Authorisation (CPA), the licence an operator needs to run a gambling site hosted on the commission's infrastructure.
