Partial Cash Out

Sports betting

Partial cash out lets you settle part of a bet early to lock in some profit while the rest of your stake keeps running on the original selection.

Partial cash out is a feature that lets you settle only a portion of an open bet early, taking a guaranteed payout on that slice while the remaining stake stays live on the original selection. It combines the certainty of a full cash out with the upside of letting a bet run, so you can bank some profit and still chase the full return. The bookmaker offers a current cash out value based on live odds. Instead of accepting all of it, you drag a slider or enter an amount to cash out part of your stake. The rest continues; if the selection wins, you collect the full payout on that portion, and if it loses, you only lose the stake left in play. Worked example: you place a 50 stake on a team at 3.00 decimal odds, a potential 150 return. They take the lead and the bookmaker offers a full cash out of 90. You choose to cash out half, locking in 45 now. The remaining 25 of your stake stays on the bet. If the team holds on to win, that half pays out 75 (25 at 3.00), giving you 45 + 75 = 120 total. If they lose, you keep the 45 and forfeit the 25 left running, versus losing the whole 50 had you done nothing. Practically, partial cash out is a risk-management tool, not a way to beat the bookmaker: the offered value already carries the operator margin, so you pay for the flexibility. Use it to protect profit on longer accumulators or in-play bets. Compare with cashout, in-play betting and hedging.
