Teen Patti ranks three-card hands from strongest to weakest as trail (three of a kind), pure sequence (three consecutive cards in one suit), sequence (three consecutive cards in mixed suits), colour (three cards of one suit), pair, and high card. Aces count high, so A-K-Q suited is the best pure sequence, and A-2-3 is the second best — an exception carried over from the home game. Two placements catch out players who learned five-card poker. A sequence beats a colour here, because among three cards drawn from a 52-card deck there are 1,096 colours but only 720 sequences, and the rarer hand ranks higher. The other placement is a deliberate exception: a trail sits above a pure sequence even though trails are the more common of the two, 52 combinations against 48 out of 22,100 possible hands. Three card poker, the casino game, ranks those two the other way round. The frequencies are worth carrying to the table. A pair or better arrives roughly once in four deals, and a trail roughly once in 425. This matters for money because a live table settles its Bonus or Pair Plus side bet purely on the ranking of the hand you were dealt, whether or not you beat the dealer.
